Just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you as I'm sure so many of your friends are. I am very sorry for your loss and the difficult challenges you will continue to face. Sure hope that we'll see each other at a conference or whatever soon and will have a few minutes to visit again. Or, if you'd ever like to "do coffee" just give me a call please (780-0717)!

Hey Elizabeth. I know what your going through is tough I have lost 3 close relatives in the past for months all near holidays. It hurts at first but then I realize that they are with God and he will take really good care of them. One day you and your father will be reunited. Just know that I love ya sweetie and you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. For the while I've known you I know you are a strong person you will pull through.

I am so sorry for you all's loss. It will be hard I have lost so many family members in the last few months before holidays and I know how it feels. But, understand this that no matter how much it hurts the pain goes away, you have to realize that Robert is in wonderful hands and that one day you all will be reunited.

I cant really think of any words to say that will ease some of the pain that you and your family are experiencing. I know what its like to lose a father. I still have wonderful memories that keep my dad alive to me and I know that you and your family have a lot of wonderful memories of your dad to keep him alive forever in your thoughts, memories and most importantly your heart.I'm sorry to hear about your sudden loss and even though we're not close friends, I want you to know that you can always talk to me about it ANYTIME!! You are a good person. You've always been really nice to me and to everyone else around you and I thank you for that. I didnt know your dad, but I know that he would be really proud of all the things that you have accomplished and to all the people that you have shared your kindness with. Dear family, especially Elizabeth, I am really sorry for your loss. I know that its gonna be a hard time for you.
Just remember that GOD will be always with you and never give up. I will be praying for you all and if you ever need somebody to talk to,and it really hard, you can e-mail me and I will help you.
I know that it seems so unfair and so horrible, but Mr. Woods is in better place - he is in heaven.

To the family of Bob Woods: In 1974, I had the privilege of meeting Bob. I was pledging Sigma Chi at Eastern Kentucky University and was quite small and loud. Bob took a liking to me and never let anyone pick on me! Bob always called me Ralph, and when I finally stopped in Grayson one day I understood. My name is Ralph David Shew, but I go by David. From my perspective, Bob had a truly kind heart and was a true friend, especially if he took a liking to you! From time to time, I would hear from Bob. He always had a joke to tell me and always asked about my family. My father ran the local newspaper in Richmond, and my parents met Bob one Parents' Day at the old Sigma Chi house on Barnes Mill Road. My sister was a Sig Little Sister, too. Bob reminded me of a big ole bear with a kind heart. This fraternity brother will miss him and his humor. Please accept my sincere regrets on your loss! Bob is in heaven having a good time!
