Mary Elizabeth Glass Cooke, 81, of Grayson went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 21, 2004. She was born February 27, 1923 in Grayson a daughter of the late Jerome and Mary Sue Huff Glass. She had been a member of the 1st Baptist Church since 1936 where she was active as a Sunday School teacher, the W.M.U., and GA’s. Mrs. Cooke was the former co-owner of Cooke’s Florist with her late husband Lawrence Cooke who preceded her in death in 1985. She was also preceded by one brother, Jack Glass and three sisters, Lois Glass Wells, Adele Glass Vincent, and Annabelle Glass Wilburn. Her survivors include:

Services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Malone Funeral Home by the minister George Steele. Burial will be in the East Carter Co. Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6-9 Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.timeformemory.com/malone.
