Teri I want to Thank you for allowing me into your home a complete stranger taking me in and showing me the way I didn't understand. Ben was more than a friend to me. I never got the chance to even say How much him and you truly were to me. When I was a messed up little lying runaway kid who had no real family that wanted to care for me Ben showed me the way. He thought I was meant for more than what I was took me in and tried to show me the way to be a man. I'll never forget the lessons he thought me or the faith of God that remains in my heart today. I truly loved this man like no other man in my life he was my mentor my pastor my waiting angel my father that I've never had. I truly miss him and have not stopped thinking and thanking God that he came in when he did. He truly saved me. I'm So sorry when I found out someone had told my grandmother to tell me... but I had no idea who or How to contact you and I've felt bad for years now for not being able to say goodbye... now I can pay my respects in person to him. Teri and kids Thank you for making me a member of a family even if it was a short time. And Ben Thank you for everything you have done for me. I hope to see you in heaven where I know your at waiting on us to be called home as well.

There is a Grant Maupin's name etched on a rock at the Pinnacles outside of Berea, Kentucky. I googled the name and this article came up.

Teri, I am so sorry to have found out about Ben, I am still in shock. What a super man he was, he taught my brother and I at Tri-County Baptist years back. I drove down to CURE to meet with him and we had a great talk some years back. You and your family take care and you'll be in my prayers.

We are so sorry for your loss. Anyone that knew Ben, knew he loved the Lord, and his mission in life was to serve. He will be missed here on earth, but, his work was done, and now sits with God. Through Ben, lots of lives have been touched and its time for them to carry on what Ben did for them. His memory will live though he is gone. We couldn't be there to be with you, as we didn't know until Saturday morning that he had passed. Our prayers are with all of you. Love in Christ, Darrell & Sue Lewis

Dear Teri and Family, We were saddened, and shocked to hear the news of Ben. Ben was one of our most favorite characters in Cincinnati. He was indirectly involved in our introduction as a couple. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you and your family. We passed the sad news along to David and Ruth Peterson and Tom and Lyn Yakopin. We are sure they too are praying for you. May God's blessings be yours during this time. Your Friends, Todd and Maureen Fowler
