Vernon Jordan, 76, of Grayson went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 11, 2004 in Community Hospice Center in Ashland. He was born March 22, 1928 a son of the late Joe and Cynthia Parker Jordan. He was a member of the Lower Grassy Church of Christ and a farmer. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Opal Carper Jordan. His other survivors include: Three daughters, Loretta Adams of Grayson, Donna Billups and Rosemary Smith of Greenup. One sister Tishie Newman of Grayson. 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday 11:00 a.m. at the Malone Funeral Home by the minister Donald Damron. Burial will be in the Horsley Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 Sunday at the Malone Funeral Home.
