1918 - 2005

Roscoe E.  HaightRoscoe E. “Coke” Haight, age 87, of Lost Creek Road in Greenup County, KY, departed from this life on Thursday, June 2nd, 2005, at Kings Daughters Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Mr. Haight was born in Carter County, KY on March 8th, 1918. He was the son of the late Roy and Clara Alice Montgomery Haight. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cheryl Fay and a sister, Eula Faye Kee.

He was of the Baptist Faith.

He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II in Sicily, Italy and Northern Africa. He was formerly employed at Bakers Department Store, Grayson R.E.A., Womack Brothers Farm and Southern States in Grayson, where he retired from and was a lifetime Farmer. He was also honored as a Kentucky Colonel and a long time member of the Trimble Lodge #145 F. & A.M. of Grayson.

He is survived by:

Ann Everman Haight of Greenup County

A son:

Carl and his wife, Carmella of Flemingsburg, KY

Two daughters:

Jill and her husband, David Lemaster of Grayson, KY

Linda and her husband, Bob Montgomery of Lost Creek Road in

Greenup County, KY

One brother:

Bob and his wife, Edna Ruth Haight of Greenup, KY

He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 5th, 2005 at 1:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Bro. Harry Saunders, minister.

Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday evening, June 4th, from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
