Douglas "Harry" Carroll, 43, following a long bout with illness, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 3 at King's Daughters Medical Center.
He was born July 31, 1959 in Grayson, a son of the late George "Dode" Carroll and Dorothy Glass Carroll.
Mr. Carroll was a disabled carpenter and home builder.
He is survived by his mother; two sisters, Kathy (Jim) Forrest of Grayson and Carolyn (Jim) Thompson of Mt. Sterling; one brother, George "Buzzy" Carroll of Grayson; and nieces and nephews Earl and Rhonda Willis, Paul and Tonya Willis, Debbie and Bryan Martin, Julie Thompson and Ashley Grubb.
Also surviving are two great-nieces, Brandi Erwin and Alaina Willis; two great nephews, Justin Martin and Austin Willis; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by the Rev. Lewis Davis. Burial will be in the family cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Monday.
