Robert L. Schumaker age 77 of Lincoln Lake Gowen died Nov.15, 2004 .
He was born in Grand Rapids on May 19, 1927 the son of Michael and Anne Scholten Schumaker. Bob was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WW II and was a former member of the American Legion and the V.F. W.
He was a retired mechanic working in the Grand Rapids area. He and his wife resided in Arizona and in Michigan at Lincoln Lake.
Surviving are his wife Mary J. Cline , his children, Robert (Deb) Schumaker and Cindy ( Ken) Vernon all of Comstock Park ,Teresa (Brian) Macquire of Cedar Springs, Mary’s children, Terry Gibson, Darrell (Loretta) Gibson, Rochelle Rawling, Mary Kreidler and Peter (Brenda) Gibson, several grandchildren , his sister Rita (Wayne ) Arendsen of Caledonia sister in law Edna Schumaker of Coopersville and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 27 2004 at 11 AM at the Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Father Joseph Fix officiating , burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery , Wright Township. Memorials in his name may be given to the V.F.W. National Home, 3573 S. Waverly Rd. Eaton Rapids MI 48827
