John Frederick Samann age 76 of Orleans formerly of Gowen died suddenly Tuesday May 10, 2005 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Emergency Room in Greenville. He was born on November 3, 1928 the son of Carl and Lila Lee Samann in Mason, Michigan.
He served with the US Air Force 1947 to 1950 and had been a baker last working at Meijers before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife Georgetta Waldron Samann in 1993 and also his brother Richard and sister Gene.
He is survived by his son Andy Samann of Orleans formerly of Gowen and his twin granddaughters, Alexandria and Elizabeth and his brother James Samann of Vermontville. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday May 13, 2005 at 2 PM from West Carmel Cemetery, Carmel Township in Eaton County with Rev. Scott March officiating. Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville is serving the family.
