RITTER- Mrs. Delilah Frederica Augusta “Lila” Ritter, age 81, died early Wednesday morning, June 8, 2005 at her home in Greenville. The daughter of John and Anna Wulff, she was born February 20, 1924 in Greenville. Lila was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She worked at J.C. Penney for many years and was a proud member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Lila loved sports, particularly basketball and softball. Above all, she loved her family, and was a wonderful, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lila was preceded in death by her son, Robert J. Ritter, in 1966. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert G. “Tex” Ritter; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ron Brimmer of Greenville; her grandchildren, Heidi and Brad Wright of White Lake Township, MI and Travis Brimmer of Greenville; her great-granddaughter, Morgan Grace Wright; her brother; Arthur and Irene Wulff of Rockford; her sisters, Marian and Edward Gould of Sand Lake and Irene and Pat Towns of Coral; her sister-in-law, Shirley and Junior Sly; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lila is also survived by her close friend and longtime neighbor, Maxine Wood, and her special friend, Amy Moody of Belding and her children, Alicia, Logan, and Lucas. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, Father Phil Salmonowicz celebrant. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Hurst Funeral Home, with a vigil service at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lila’s honor may be given to the American Cancer Society or to the Visiting Nurse Foundation.
