Betty Jane Frantsen, 79, or Coral, Michigan passed away Thursday February 24, 2005 at Spectrum Health United Memorial - United Campus in Greenville. She was born on March 7, 1925 the daughter of Harry and Alta Opper.
She married Norman A. Frantsen in Greenville on June 2, 1945 and was a graduate of Howard City High School, a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church Trufant, the Elizabeth Circle, and the YMCO Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman, on Dec. 24, 1988, son Ralph, her brother, Harold Opper, and twin graddaughters.
She is survived by her sons; Jerry and Sandra Frantsen of Sheridan and Randall Frantsen of Trufant, her grandchildren; Jesse, Caledonia, and Chad Frantsen of Sheridan, sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Ken Mulholland of Howard City and sister-in-law, Frances Pederson of Herman, NY and many nieces and nephews along with other loved ones.
Funeral services will be held on Monday February 28, 2005 at 1 PM from St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Trufant with Rev. Aaron I. Sorrells and Rev. Bert Boes officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Trufant Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-5 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
