Victoria Lee Walter Patterson, 21, died Tuesday Feb. 15, 2005 from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Polkton Township, Ottawa County.
She was born in Grand Rapids on April 22, 1983 the daughter of Marshall D. and Robin L. Hacker Walter.
She was a graduate of Greenville High School with the class of 2001, was currently a senior at Michigan State University, and was a member of Ravenna United Methodist Church. Vicki was an adventurous young lady who loved life to the fullest, enjoying skydiving, scub diving, white water rafting, and recently snowboarding. She loved animals of all species and was known for saving "critters". She was married to Brent K. Patterson in Muskegon on July 4, 2004 and he became her life partner in all the adventures she could dream up.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl Hacker and Ida Walter.
Her husband, Brent, mourns the loss of his wife along with her parents, Robin and Marshall Walter of Greenville; brother, Maxwell and Abigail Walter of Lansing; grandparents, Beatrice Hacker of Dade City, FL, and Don and Lillian Walter of Greenville; uncles, Jeff Hacker of Greenville, William Walter of Smyrna; Brent's parents, Ken and Mary Patterson; brothers-in-law, Greg and Bethany Patterson, Kyle Patterson; Brent's grandparents, Ken and Diann Patterson, Ike and Dorothy Helsen, all of Ravenna; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services are 11 AM Saturday at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with the Rev. Mary Ivanov of Ravenna United Methodist Church officiating. Burial is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
Visitation is 6 to 8 PM today at the funeral home.
