1954 - 2005

Robert P. Maess age 51 formerly of Greenville died Saturday July 16, 2005 at home. He was born in Cincinnati Ohio on March 1 1954 the son of Carl M. and Helen Bennett Maess.

Bob was employed at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus for 23 years.

He is survived by his son Robert W. Maess of Belding and adopted son Lucas Maess,

His sisters, Evelyn Harriman of Sparta and Deb Harriman of Gowen and brothers, Frank Maess of Cincinnati and Bill and Katie Maess of Mason Ohio step brother Gene Mathews and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Cecilia Hartbarger brother Carl Maess and step brother Gene Mathews.

A memorial time of remembrance will be held on Thursday July 21 from 1-4 PM At the American Legion Post # 101 in Greenville.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association

Bob was a wonderful man that was loved by many. He was kind, loving, caring and had a wonderful sense of humor. I will never forget him and the impact he had on my life.

I worked with Bob for 15 yrs. He as one of the finest guys I had ever had the chance to be around. He was a great forman, he was great to go to when you had a question, knew his job well, he had a great sence of humor. we in maintenance loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed.

Bob, was a pleasure to know and work with. He was always ready to assist me with my many Maint. related issues. He had a great sense of humor always made me laugh! I will miss him terribly!!

I always saw Bob driving his truck. He was always smiling at me. Every now and then our paths would cross and he would joke around and tell me to get back to work!! He was a wonderful man!
