
Freda Loker, age 96, of Fenwick (formerly of Lake, Michigan) went to be with the Lord on Monday July 18, 2005 at Sheridan Community Hospital in Sheridan, Michigan. She was born in Lake, Michigan on January 18, 1909 the daughter of Darius and Calista (Porter) Scott. She was the sole survivor of nine children; Earl, Ilah, Raymond, Charley, Clair, Jack, (Freda), Millie, and Olga. She was married to Hollie Loker, who preceded her in death in 1952. Her son-in-laws George Graham, Art Krause, and Eugene Ferri also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her four daughters Betty Graham of Lake, Michigan, Norma Gruno of Fenwick, Michigan, Barbara June Krause of Applegate, Michigan and Carrie Ferri of Holland, Pennsylvania; her son-in-law Carl Gruno, her 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was a beloved member of the Living Faith Family Church of Greenville. Freda enjoyed deer hunting until after her 90th birthday, and continued her love for fishing throughout her life. She left a “Godly Legacy” for family and friends with her undaunting faith, unselfish living, cheerful attitude, and passion for life. She will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at 10:30 am from Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Carl Gruno officiating the celebration of her life. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2005 from 6:00-9:00 pm and Thursday, July 21 9:30-10:30 am. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
