TO ENTIRE FAMILY & FRIENDS...I write to pay tribute to what seems to have been a wonderful man, of whom I never got the chance to get to know! But because of this man I was fortunatly able to know his wonderful daughter Noranne! I was lucky enough to have worked with her and become friends.I have watched her kids grow over the years and also she has watched mine of which my oldest has babysitted for her. I have witnessed the genuin, caring, loving person Noranne is and someone I respect and love in the person she is. And it being known that Robert had a big influence on her life I must pay tribute to such a wonderful father. I pray comfort to entire family & friends of Robert as his loss is such a severe and sudden event and leaving a big hole in peoples lives. But be reassured that there must have been a huge party in heaven when he joined our Lord receiving his reward in heaven. I am thankful he touched so many lives including people he didn't even know !!

My dad was the best person I ever knew. I loved him very much and I will miss him. He taught me how to laugh and love life and be a good person,...I was lucky to have him for my father. The world is a little emptier today because he isn't in it anymore.

It has been many, many years but I will never forget Thanksgiving day 1979. My mom was newly widowed and was cooking Thanksgiving dinner and the stove quit working suddenly. We met Bob through Ida Martin who was a neighbor of his when he and Gloria owned the motel and Ida was a guest of ours for dinner that day. She told Bob about it and he came right over on Thanksgiving day to fix the stove for us! I don't think my mom ever forgot that; someone coming over on a holiday on top of it all.
We also went to the same church for a while in the 1980's (First Baptist) and I will never forget my brother Jim and I taking "Little Lisa" home from Sunday school. What a cutie!
I am sorry for your loss. May God be with you at this difficult time.

Bob and I hit it off as soon as we met. He asked questions the typical church leader wrinkled their brows over. I liked that! Lots! We spent some good hours over hot-fudge sundaes, and other fattening stuff, solving all the problems of the world and straightening out the theologians, at least in our own minds. He was a good man to know, and that's not all that common. He'll be missed.
