Sue Ann Harper, 70 of Rockford went home to be with her Lord on Saturday December 17,2005. She was born in Greenville on October 26,1935 the daughter of Cecil and Ella Lucas Blumberg. She was a graduate of Greenville High School with the class of 1953 and was a founding member of the Oakfield Township Pioneer Heritage Society and a founder of the Oakfield Township Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Russel A. Harper , her daughters and sons-in-law, Jodie and Kim Meyers and Cindy and Matt Christensen all of Rockford, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, one sister Shirley (Sivert) Jensen of Greenville, brother Jerry (Suzanne ) Blumberg of Durango CO, , brothers-in-law; Darold (Mary Jane) Harper, Norm (Delores) Harper, sisters-in-law, Doris Ringler and Helen (Walter) Nielsen , many much loved nieces and nephews and special friends, Kay Blumberg and Bonnie Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Grace Bow, parents-in-law Glenn and Blanche Harper and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bremmer and Charlene Harper.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 20, 2005 at 1 PM from Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Dr. Harry R. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakfield Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home . Memorial contributions may be given to Oakfield Township Pioneer Heritage Society.
