Thomas Dale Crawford age 81 of Greenville passed away Saturday January 7, 2006 at his home.
Thomas was born December 14,1924 the son of Elton and Vera Mills Crawford. He was a lifelong resident of the Greenville area.
He married Margaret Sheldon on August 16,1947 in Belding. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before her death on October 18,2003. Their infant daughter also preceded them in 1964.
Thomas was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army in the Philippine Islands. He retired from Federal-Mogul Corporation, was a member of the American Legion Post
# 101 of Greenville and a life member of the V.F.W. Post 5065 of Sheridan. He loved gardening , vintage cars and camping and was a member of the Good Sam Club for many years.
Thomas was a committed husband and a loving father, he will be sadly missed by his family.
He is survived by his children, Craig and Sheila Crawford and Kendra and Jim Yeomans all of Greenville , grandchildren, Eric Crawford , Kurt and Johnelle Crawford of Greenville , Robb Crawford of Grand Rapids, Michael Yeomans of Greenville and Koren Yeomans of Rockford and one beloved great-granddaughter Emalie Crawford, his brother Elton Crawford of Greenville and sister Julia Fisher of Rockford and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday January 11, 2006 at 1:30 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 PM . Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens , Belding.
