Charles H. Soule age 79 of Gowen died at home Monday morning January 9, 2006.
He was born in Sumner MI on April 10, 1926 the son of Carl F. and Daisy V. White Soule. He was married to Roberta Hause on July 17, 1987.
Charles was a retiree of Gibson Refrigerator Co with 42 years of service and farmed for 30 years. He is a veteran on the US Army serving in 1952-53 and a member of the American Legion Post # 101 and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, gardening, shuffleboard, bird watching and football.
He is survived by his wife ‘Bobbie’ Soule of Gowen, children, David and MeLinda Soule of Greenville , Richard and Laurie Soule of Cedar Springs, Susan and Scott Minard of Greenville, Keith M. and Betty Stevens of Lakeview, Douglas and Becky Stevens of Trufant, Pamela Brickey of Lakeview, Bernie Brickey Jr. Stanton, , Jill and Charles Petersen of Sheridan , 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Elmer Soule, Betty Soule both of Greenville, Marian and Rodney Baxter of Sheridan and Margaret and Clark Rasmussen of Stanton , many nieces and nephews,His brother in law, Ronald and Jan Hause of Arizona , sisters in law, Dorothea Jura of Indiana, Elaine and Jim Shupe of Rockford and Wanetta Mahlich of Sand Lake.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Benjamin, Harold and Dale Soule, a sister Hazel Greenman and his granddaughter, Rachelle Stevens.
Funeral services will be Thursday January 12, 2006 at 1 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Jerrold T. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Little Denmark Cemetery, Gowen. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers you may choose a charity of your choice
