Jean E. Staffen age 63 of Belding died Friday evening January 20, 2006 at the Emergency Room of Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus in Greenville.
She was born in Greenville on December 9, 1942 the daughter of Marshall F. and Helen L. Martin Hopkins. Her mother preceded her in death on May 19, 2000 and her father on June 15, 2001. She was married for 40 years to Larry D. Staffen. They wed on March 6, 1965 and renewed their wedding vows on their 25th anniversary in 1990. She was a loving wife mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Larry, their children, Larry and Audrey Staffen of Fenwick, Helen and Patrick Cooper of Howard City and Shelley and Ronald Pohl of Charlotte, grandchildren, Cheyenne and Lakota Staffen, Samantha Cooper and Sheila Pohl, her brother James and Karen Hopkins and sister Janette and Mike Roger all of Greenville, nieces, nephews and sisters in law, Ida Meddler of Greenville and Dorothy Bower of Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 24,2006 at 2 PM at Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 PM on Tuesday. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding
