I have just recently become aware of Margaret's passing. I am so sorry for the family, because I know how much she will be missed. I have often thought of her over the years, while recalling my childhood with Tim. Me and my families thoughts and prayers will be with her and her family during this time. Rich Thompson

My class enjoyed working with Grandma Margaret while she lived at Green Acres. Each month the first graders came to spend time with the grandmas and grandpas. The kids and I sure have missed seeing her the last few months. Margaret was always so patient and kind to the first graders. We were sad to hear of her passing. Our thoughts are with all of you.

On behalf of the Education Department at John Ball Zoo please know that our thoughts and prayers are with the Forton family during this difficult time. Although we did not have the gift of knowing Mrs. Forton we do know her son Mike well. Mrs. Forton leaves a wonderful legacy that will live on through Mike, Jill, and Max. Respectfully, Norah Fletchall

Just wanted to pass along my condolences. It has been a long time since our paths have crossed. I have always remembered the Forton family over the years. I still go by the old neighborhood on Jefferson Street from time to time and reminisce about the good times that we had with all the kids in the area. The building of forts in the trees in “woods #1” and in the old billboards in “woods # 2” and the sledding down the hill at the old sand lot. The Forton family has had a special spot in my memories because “Big Jim” gave me my first real job when I was 16 years old. He hired me to clean the windows at all the Nibble-Scrib-Nib shops. It was a great experience. Again, my condolences for your loss from myself and the Lenkiewicz Family. Mike Lenkiewicz 3887 Henry Street Muskegon, Mi. 49441

I became acquainted with Margaret about 5 yrs. ago upon joining SiQuaris Club after moving to Greenville. She made me feel so welcome and we became friends right away. After club meeting one day, I gave her a ride home and she invited me in to meet her dogs. We sat and visited for an hour or so and during that time I enjoyed her stories about the family and everything that meant so much to her. What a wonderful lady! She will be missed very much both in our club and as a friend and communtiy member. May God bless her and keep her close in all our hearts. Respectfully, Andrea L. Stearns
