Barbara L. Shong age 55 of Gowen died Friday March 31, 2006 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus Grand Rapids MI. She was born on September 29, 1950 in Ionia Mi the daughter of George and Betty Harp Camp. She had worked at Electrolux Corp for 22 years. Her daughter Carie preceded her in death in 1988,and also her father and sister, Mary Catherine Camp.
She was married in Belding on March 2,1972 to Thomas R. Shong, he survives along with their children, Nickie (Michael) Turley of Gowen, Tondra (Frank Dessoye) Shong of Stanton, Jonthan (Autumn) Shong of Gowen and Tarma ( Antonio) Muniz of Belding , grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Melinda, Wesley, Joseph, Kadie, Elias, Herlinda, Veronica , Matrix, Kaleb and Olivia, her great grandchildren, Isabelle and Zachary, her mother Betty Bell of Belding, brothers, Greg (Judy) Camp of Carson City, George
(Donna)Camp of Anchorage Alaska, Mike Camp of Belding , her husband’s family, Dennis ( Mae ) Shong of Clarksville , David Shong of Tennessee, Julie Edwards of Clarksville, Eddie Yaw of Ionia and Susan Yaw of Lyons, and aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
A time of Remembrance and a visitation will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2006 from 6-8 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville.
