
Lucile Hansen Mooney age 86 formerly of Greenville died Sunday April 2 2006 in Racine, Wisconsin. She was born in Edmore on January 28, 1920 the daughter of Herbert and Alma Rydahl Hansen.
While singing with the US Steel chorus she met Ernest Mooney and they married on April 12, 1947 in Chicago Illinois at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1997. She was also preceded by her son Peter Christian Mooney , her brother Alva Hansen and her sister Meredith Bibb.
She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville and has always loved music. She was involved in church choir and community chorus wherever she lived. She participated in productions at the Chicago Opera, Flat River Community Players, and the Danish Singers.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Irene Gadow, Ernest James Mooney, Lillian Gertrude Mooney, Anita Kathleen Salyers, Sally Hansen Gawle, Martha Mary Fackler, Jane Bridgette Dorado, Lucia Helen Rusnak and Sean Herbert Mooney, grandchildren, Shane Gadow, Shannon Gadow, Dean Mooney, Gina Mooney, John Salyers, Ian Salyers, Ana, Rosa, Josef, and Jack Dorado, Ruth, Luke, Jacob Mooney and 5 great grandchildren, her sisters, Marcia Corey, Evelyn Blodgett and Inez Taylor.
A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday April 7, 2006 at 10 AM from St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville with Father Phil Salmonowicz as celebrant. Burial will be in Little Denmark Cemetery, Gowen. Visitation will be on Thursday from 7-9 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.
