Michaelene Park Baron Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1941 - 2006 Michaelene P. Baron age 64 of Carp Lake,Michigan died Saturday April 1, 2006 at Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. She was born in Detroit MI on November 2,1941 the daughter of Joseph and Virginia Guthrie Handzlik. She was a veteran of the US Navy serving in 1961 to 1964 and was the Past Commander of the American Legion Post # 159 of Mackinaw City MI. She is survived by her daughters Adrienne and John Mellas of Afton MI and Danielle and Trevor Schmachtenberger of Greenville MI , her grandchildren, Avery and Lydia Schmachtenberger,mother Virginia Handzlik of Ruskin Florida and her brother Mark Handzlik of Lansing. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother Patrick. Memorial services will be held on Saturday afternoon April 22, 2006 at 1:30 PM at St. Anthony's Church in Mackinaw City MI. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Mackinaw City. In lieu of flowers , the family suggest memorials be given to The American Legion Post # 159 in Mackinaw City.

Dear Family of Mickey Baron, We are so sorry for your loss! She and Rick were dear friends of ours and they are missed so much. I personally will always remember her sense of humor and her laughter! No matter what was going on in her life, she was always able to find a way to smile. We Love ya Mickey and Rick, and we know that you are smiling down at us from Heaven!

To the family of Mickey Baron, I wish to express my sorry for your loss. I was a friend of Mickey's and I will miss her very much. She was a giving person, and had a lot she did, and wanted to do in her life that was cut before she had time. I am very sadden at her death. I will miss her.
