Mary Catherine Walborn age 100 died Friday April 14,2006 at Green Acres Retirement Living in Greenville MI. She was born in Van Wert Ohio on October 11,1905 the daughter of Charles D. and Margaret E. Manning Greenewald. She was a graduate of VanWert High School in 1923 and attended Otterbein College. She married Carleton E. Walborn on September 11,1927 in Van Wert. He preceded her in death in 1971.She was a member of Greenville First United Methodist Church, the Esther Circle, a charter member of Church Women United in Greenville and the Greenville Seniors.
She is survived by her son and wife, Robert and Judy Walborn of Colorado Springs CO, her daughter and husband Jane and Wayne Mares of Lewiston Idaho, grandchildren, Lea Walborn of Chicago Illinois, Tamara and John Rice of Pueblo CO, Scott Mares of Lewiston Idaho and Tom Mares of Boise Idaho, great grandchildren, Cassandra Mares and Maia Rice, her neice , Susan Brittsan of VanWert Ohio .
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2006 at 2 PM from the Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Harry R. Johnson of Greenville First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert Ohio. Visitation will be held from Noon to 2 PM on Tuesday prior the the services.
In lieu of Flowers ,Memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church or Hospice.
