Alice Lucille SackAlice L. Sack age 92 of Flint died Monday Evening at McLaren Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born in Big Rapids MI the fourteenth child of William F.C. and Anna Karzeski Sack.

Alice was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Flint for almost 70 years. She was active at her church with the Wednesday morning bible study class and serving at the Book Nook for many years. She was a volunteer with the Marian Hall Auxiliary, the Genesee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and was a charter member of the Flint Travel Club where she enjoyed many travels taking her all over the world. She was retired from the former A.C. Division of General Motors in Flint.

Her brothers, Frank, William, Arthur, Ernest, H. Norman, Albert,and her sisters, Frances, Martha, Marie, Anna, Margaret and Ruth and her nieces, Helen, Elaine, Geraldine and Mary Jane and nephews, Jack, Donald, William, Thomas and William preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister and roommate of 89 years, Arlene H. Sack of Flint, her brother Robert F. Sack of Grand Rapids and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her special friends and Little Sisters, Denise Miller and Bonnie Price both of Flint and their brother, Stewart (Martiel) Miller of Flushing and their children and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday May 12, 2006 at 11 AM from St. Paul Lutheran Church with her Pastor Rev. Roger R. Kilponen officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger Hwy. Flint MI 48532.

Although it has been several years since I have seen either of the great aunts, I remember them fondly from the yearly Sack Reunions held in Big Rapids and other locations. My condolences to the family. (I am the son of Betty (Sack) Vanderhoof. John
