1915 - 2006

Ronald M. FoxRonald Mahlon Fox age 90 of Greenville died Monday June 5, 2006 at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus, Greenville. He was born October 7, 1915 the son of Mahlon J. and Alice L. Johnson Fox in Sylvester, Hinton Township, Mecosta County, Michigan.

Ron was the former owner of Fox Dry Cleaner’s in Greenville for many years and retired from Federal Mogul Corporation and in retirement worked until 80 years of age at Gay’s Cleaners in Greenville. He was an active member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church, serving on church council and now a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Greenville. He was a devoted care- giver to his wife Louise. He married I. Louise Petersen on October 11, 1941 at her parents’ home near Edmore.

His wife Louise survives along with their daughters and families. Helen Warren of Dexter, MI and her children; David and Caprice Warren, Erik, Shae, Ethan, of Ann Arbor; Scott and Deana Warren of Northville; Kevin and Shannon Warren and Cole of Dexter; Linda (Larry) Seger of Middleville and their children; Erin and Matt Schaefer expecting their first born of Cadillac; Brian Seger of Grand Rapids, Debby (Don) Justine of Boonville Missouri and their families; Jonathan and Jennie Justine and Judah, Levi, Liam of Lakeside, Montana; Peter and Josanna Justine and Briona and Lyric of Calgary, Alberta Canada; Cherie and PFC Adam Miracle and Gabrielle and William of Ft. Drum N.Y.; Ron’s sister, Georgianna “Peggy” Swartz of Greenville and his special niece Sharla and Ken Stewart of Greenville.

His brother Jack Fox preceded him in death and his son-in-law James ‘Butch’ Warren in 2002.

Ron loving took care of his Louise until she moved to Metron in September 2004. He was over there everyday so that they could still be together as much as possible. His family was everything to him.

Ron’s favorite time (next to meal time) was spent in their yard, feeding the birds year ‘round, and creating his beautiful flower garden-----each summer it was more colorful than the last. He furnished his family and friends with his homegrown tomatoes as well.

Ron’s wish was that those who come together to celebrate his life be comfortable…

please feel free to dress casually.

He was so full of fun and laughter …we’ll miss you, Dad.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 8, 2006 at 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church with his Pastor, Rev. Scott Lindner officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.

I was so saddened to see that Ron has passed away. He worked for my father at Gay's Cleaners and my husband and I got to know him and Louise their; he was so pleasant to work with. He also was a member at our church; St Paul Lutheran. He will certainly be missed by all in our family. Our prayers will be with your family. The Daggett family; Dale, Deb and Chad

It is with fond memories that we remember Ron and Louise. We first officially met them when we joined Trinity Lutheran Church. They made us feel so comfortable and invited. They were so kind to our children, who at that time were very small. I barely remember Ron's mother when i was 3 years old and we lived next door to her. She was very kind to our family too. Ron will always be remembered for his kindness and laughter.. he will be missed by many and there is much fun and laughter going on right now in heaven! May you find comfort in Gods grace and peace. The Bilello's Tony/Kris Anna and Katie Oak Steet neighbors!
