 Evelyn Lena Wood age 91 of Six Lakes died at her home on Saturday June 24, 2006.
She was born on the family farm at Clifford Lake, Stanton on April 7, 1915 the daughter of John and Lena Martin Rahn.
She was married to Derwin T. Wood and he preceded her in death in 1969.Her brother Walter Rahn also preceded her in death. She was an employee of Wolverine World Wide for over 30 years and also worked for the Chrysler Trim plant in Lyons.
She is survived by her daughter and husband Linda and David Larsen of Battle Creek, her grandchildren; Scott and Jenny Larsen of Madison Heights MI, Todd Larsen of Sterling Heights MI and Shari Larson of Avon, Indiana, her sister Blanche Anderson of Greenville and brother Norman Rahn of Clifford Lake Stanton, nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Edson and Irene Wood of Horton, MI and sister-in-law June Grifhorst of Grand Rapids.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday June 29, 2006 at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, followed with a visitation at 2 PM and a Memorial service at 3 PM from Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Wayne F. Hoedt officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association |

To the family of Evelyn Wood. I did not know your mother personaly but my mother Irene Shockey worked at Wolverwine World Wide for a number of years and I can remember all the good things she said about her co-worker. My mother passed about 2yrs ago. You are in my thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time. I just wanted to make sure you knew my mother spoke very highly of Evelyn. Sincere Sympathy Glenda Wing
