Virginia M. ‘Gin’ Weimer age 78 of Rockford died Saturday July 29, 2006 at Metron of Greenville. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on April 24, 1928 the daughter of Gilbert and Martha Kosten Raterink. She was married in Grand Rapids on May 7, 1948 to Harry Weimer and together raised a family of seven children.
She is survived by her husband Harry of Rockford and their children, Char and Gary McDuffee of Marion MI, Karen and Larry McNamara of Pierson, Roxanne and Paul Morley of Rockford, Dee Dee and Mike Garland of Sidney, Tammy and Al Warners of Sidney, Tracy and Thelma Weimer of Greenville and Mike and Kindra Wiemer of Ranger, Georgia, 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, brothers, Harold and Betty Raterink of Coopersville and Earl and Lela Raterink of Walker, sister Betty and Lee Troyer of Paris and nieces and nephews.
Her sister Mildred Barton preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be held on Monday July 31, 2006 at 3 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Jerrold T. Jones officiating. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association
