Steven Robert Sammon age 47 of Greenville died suddenly at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga Tennessee while working for Swift Transportation.
He was born in Greenville on March 19 1959 the son of S. Robert and Norma Keinke Sammon. His father preceded him in death in 1965.
He was employed at Swift Transportation as a truck driver and was a driver’s trainer and a mentor. He was formerly employed at Dimoco Company in Kentwood MI. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by is wife Loretta Sammon of Greenville, his children, Erica and Rick Snyder of Stanton, Kelly Sammon of Woodland, step children , James and Jessica Vaglica and Deanna Vaglica of Wyoming, his grandchildren, Zaviour and Justina, his mother Norma , his brother Dan and Melanie Sammon of Greenville and sister-in-law , Celia and Bill Thayler of Kentwood.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 AM Friday August 18,2006 from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Wilhelm officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the memorial service.
