1927 - 2006
 Joan M. Kraft age 79 of Trufant died at home Friday October 20 2006.
She was born in Trufant on July 31 1927 the daughter of Hans and Iva Jensen Poulsen.
Joan was a graduate of Lakeview High School with high honors , a member of Settlement Lutheran Church and for many years was involved with her family in 4-H. She enjoyed baking and caring for her family as a loving wife , mother and grandmother. She married Richard S. Kraft at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Trufant on April 12, 1952. He survives along with their children; David W. Kraft of Trufant, Gregory A. and Debi Kraft and Janice M. and John Byrne all of Greenville and James R. and Tammy Kraft of New Paris IN, grandchildren, Andrew , Jordan and Logan Kraft, her brother , Dennis and Joy Poulsen of Trufant and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hubert and Ruth Kraft and Bob and Martha Kraft of Greenville and Elizabeth and Dick Shenden of Boyne City MI and her nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2006 at 11 AM from Settlement Lutheran Church with Rev. Aaron I. Sorrels officiating. Burial will be in Trufant Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to “Barry’s House” in care of Settlement Lutheran Church. |
