
Faith Jaehnig Hammond age 67 ,a resident of Colorado Springs Colorado since 1967 died Sunday October 29, 2006 in Aurora, CO of Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Norway, Michigan on February 17, 1939 the daughter of Walter B. and Adele B. Barkkari Jaehnig. Faith was a graduate of Greenville High School with the class of 1957 and a graduate of Central Michigan University. She was an outgoing, vivacious person who could chat with anyone. She loved her family and adored children-especially her grandchildren. She was active in local and state Alpha Chi Omega alumni group and Cystic Fibrosis Association and was a day care provider, elementary school secretary and law office secretary.
Her mother, Adele preceded her in death in 1990 and her father Walter B. Jaehnig in 2003.
She is survived by her children; Daniel B. and Ruthanne Hammond of Bozeman, Montana, Jennifer and Thomas Yoswa of Centennial, CO and
Elisabeth (Jerry Furst) Hammond of Evergreen CO, her grandchildren, Boyd, Drake and Adeline Hammond, Nicholas and Madison Yoswa,
Luke and Layla Hammond-Furst, her brother Walter B. and Kathryn Jaehnig of Carbondale, Illinois and her sister Candace and Stewart Larkin of Greenville, MI, nieces and nephews, uncle, Robert Jaehnig of Holland MI , aunt, Martha and Wayne Jacobs of Houghton MI , cousins and a dear friend, Beverly Grubb of Traverse City MI.
Memorial services are Saturday November 18, 2006 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs CO. Local services are to be held at a later date with burial in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville.
