Catherine H. “Kay” Williams age 90 of Greenville died Monday November 13, 2006 in Greenville. She was born in Newberry MI on February 2, 1916 the daughter of Clarence and Mary LeGault Ketcher. On August 6, 1938 in Grand Rapids MI she married Howard R. Williams. Kay was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville and the ST. Charles Prayer Line. She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs and also was a proud member of “T O P S” for several years.
Her brother Harold Ketcher preceded her in death in October 2002 and her sister Mary Jane Burr died in December 2005.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Howard of Greenville and their three sons , Lee Williams of Schaumburg IL, Ed and Sandy Williams of Alma and Rick and Jan Williams of Big Rapids , nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday November 16 2006 at 11 AM from St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville with Father Phil Salmonowicz as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with a rosary prayed at 4 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Charles Church.
