Marguerite E. Johnson age 84 of Greenville died Sunday December 10,2006 at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus in Greenville. She was born in Greenville on May 14, 1922 the daughter of Floyd and Anna Wilson Knapp Sr. She was a graduate of Greenville High School with the class of 1940. She was a member of Greenville First United Methodist Church, the Lois Circle and the Homemakers. On March 23, 1943 in Greenville she married Ronald V. Johnson. Together they began their marriage by traveling to California while he served in the military in WW II. After returning to Greenville she was a homemaker with her husband and daughters and was employed as a receptionist for Dr.’s Bird and Olsen and Dr. House for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ronald V. Johnson of Greenville , their daughters and sons-in-law; Linda and L. John Jacob of St. Clair Shores, MI and Patricia and David Snyder of Coral, her grandchildren; Tamara and John Miller of Orlando FL, Kimberly and James Lund of Coral and John L. Jacob of St. Clair Shores MI , her great grandchildren; Ilyssa Lund, Kenzie Lund and Liliana Miller, her brothers Floyd and Carolyn Knapp of Greenville and Howard and Barbara Knapp of Baldwin and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Arthur Knapp and sister Grace Knapp and infant twin siblings.

Funeral services will be held at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville on Thursday December 14, 2006 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Dr. Harry R. Johnson and Rev. Theron Bailey officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to First United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association or Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
