Louise Eleanor Bergquist

1911 - 2007

Louise E. Bergquist age 95 formerly of Greenville died Tuesday January 9, 2007 at Heritage Community Center in Kalamazoo. She was born in Belding MI on September 26, 1911 the daughter of Leland and Gladys Sipple Thompson.

She married Carl D. Bergquist in 1940 in Greenville and he preceded her in death in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her brother Joseph Thompson in 2005.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Greenville and was retired as an Executive Secretary from the former Gibson Refrigerator Co. of Greenville.

She is survived by her daughter and husband of Kalamazoo, Susan B. Bensinger and Mike Helms, her granddaughters, Jennifer and Steve Luitje of Kalamazoo and Elizabeth and William Reicherts of Falls Church, VA, and great grandchildren; Elizabeth Luitje, Janet Luitje, Zachary Reicherts and Nathan Reicherts.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday January 13,2007 at 11 AM from the Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with her Pastor Rev. Jerrold T. Jones officiating. A visitation will be held beginning at 10 AM Saturday. Memorial contributions may be given to First Congregational Church 126 E. Cass St., Greenville, MI 48838, Upjohn Nursing Home Alzheimer's Unit or the Humane Society.

Sue and family, Sorry to hear of the loss in your family. Sue I fondly remember the times we've shared stories of our families together. I'm sorry I was unable to attend the memorial service. I will personally contact you soon.
