Bill & Family: Marcia and I were so sorry about the passing of your wife and mother. Not only have you been blessed to have had Helen as part of your lives, but the whole Greenville community was blessed by the life and good works of Helen among us. Because of some minor surgery I had yesterday, we are not able to attend the gathering of friends and family or memorial service. However, our thoughts and prayers are with you...

Dear Bill and Family - Please accept our sincere condolences in the passing of Helen. You both were such dear friends and wonderful neighbors of my parents, Bill & Goldie Williams. And over the years they enjoyed watching Mary and Cathy as they grew up and then the grandchildren when they would visit. My parents were often the recipients of Helen’s delicious baked goods. In their later years, they especially appreciated Bill’s clearing their sidewalk in the wintertime and other acts of kindnesses when they could no longer do them. We shall remember you in prayer and trust God's promises to comfort and strengthen you in this time of loss.

Dear Bill & Kids, You probably don't remember me. I was just "one of the boss's kids" when Helen worked for my dad, Ellis Bazzett, at the Kent Elevator in Reed City over 50 years ago. I was only 12 when you and Helen married. But I can still picture Helen in my mind's eye just as she looked back then, and she was beautiful, even to a ten or eleven year-old kid. She lit up a room just by being in it, and she did, of course, stand out in a place of business frequented mainly by men. My mom, Daisy (who is 90 now), has often told me what a wonderful life you and Helen made in Greenville. Fifty years of love and happiness is a rare and precious gift and I know you will always treasure those years and memories. Please accept my deepest condolences, and may God bless you and your families. Sincerely, Tim Bazzett, Reed City

Remainder of message one: I wanted to add this: May happy memories be a great consolation, as well as the support of family and friends.
Love to you all. May Helen now rest in peace. I'm sure Minnie and Rannie and her brothers and sisters, parents and friends, have welcomed her to that eternal rest.

Bill, please accept my prayers and sympathy for you and your dear family at the death of Helen. How special that she came into our conversation at the Funeral home when we were visiting Betty Hoppough King. Her long sickness has, perhaps, prepared you, in some ways for her death, although I really believe there is no adequate preparation. There's always that hole in our hearts, and we really don't want it to go away completely, since it represents so much of our lives. I'm sure Helen was a very special person; otherwise, you would not have found her and welcomed her into your life.
