1915 - 2007
Hilda H. Rasmussen age 91 formerly of Trufant died March 10, 2007 at Laurels of Kent after a lingering illness. She was born in Trufant August 18, 1915 the daughter of Chris and Marie Larsen Rasmussen. Her sister Ella Petersen preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by her sister Alta Henry of Dearborn and her two nieces and a nephew; Lois and Joel Van Dyke of FL, Lana and James French of Houghton Lake and Ronald Petersen of Trufant.
Funeral and committal services will be held on Tuesday March 13, 2007 at 2 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron I. Sorrels officiating. Burial in the spring will be at Trufant Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 PM on Tuesday. Memorials may be given to St. Thomas Lutheran Church Trufant.

Dear Alta and Cousins,
I am visiting my families in Florida at this time and I regret not being able to attend Hilda's funeral. She always conducted herself with a quiet dignity and friendliness and I appreciated her friendship down through these 61 years. Did you folks know she came to our small, four room, upstairs apartment and slept on a day bed for 3 weeks to help me after Jeanette was born. I surely appreciated her excellent help. The meals she prepared were wonderful and we enjoyed her company too. She was a true friend.
May the Lord bless you at this time and fill your hearts and minds with His peace and with fond memories!

Dear Ron,
Know that you and Lois and Lana are in my prayers. I didn't know her very well but she was your Mom's sister and you know how I felt about your Mom so this is just a sad time and a time for memories.
