1943 - 2007
 Roger W. Fleser age 63 of Spencer Township, Cedar Springs died peacefully at his home on Tuesday March 20, 2007. He was born in Podunk on April 6, 1943 and was a graduate of Greenville High School class of 1961, a veteran of the US Navy serving active duty from 1961 to 1965 and in the Naval Reserves retiring in 2003 as Construction Mechanic 2nd Class. He married Sheryl J. Fisk at Settlement Lutheran Church Gowen on Sep 26, 1970. He was employed at General Motors (Delphi) for 30 years retiring in 2003 and was a member of Settlement Lutheran Church, an active participant with Barrie’s House as a volunteer, loved his hunting and fishing and playing Monday night euchre at the Moose Lodge in Greenville.
His parents Wallace and Mary Ann Fleser have preceded him in death as did his father-in-law Cecil Fisk on February 2, 2007.
He is survived by his wife Sheryl and their sons and families; Mathew L. and Robin Fleser of Stanton and Phillip J. and Lindsay Fleser of Holland and grandsons, Connor L. and Brayden J. Fleser. Also surviving are his brother Wally Fleser Jr.and wife Annette “Toni” , sisters, Kathleen and Don King of Ada, Marcia and Darwin Taft of Bass Lake Gowen and Pauline and Orville Ackley of Belding, nieces and nephews , his wife’s family, her mother, Juanita Fisk of Sand Lake, brothers, Randy and Char Fisk and Tom Fish all of Gowen, Greg Fisk of Sand Lake and Steve and Renee Fisk of Trufant.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday March 23, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hurst Funeral Home with military honors provided by the US Navy and a prayer service with Rev. Aaron I. Sorrels from Settlement Lutheran Church concluding the evening visitation at 8 PM.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Barrie’s House in care of Settlement Lutheran Church, 1031 S. Johnson Rd. Gowen MI 49326

Just want you all to know that we are still thinking of you. Sean just said today that he couldn't believe Roger is gone. May the difficult moments that lie ahead be fewer than the thoughts of happy memories. Hope everyone is holding together.

Roger and I were classmates all through High School. I have nothing but fine memories of Roger. He was always pleasant to be around and always had a smile to share with you. Memories of Roger will last forever.

Bob and I were so sorry to hear about Roger. May you find peace knowing tha he is safe at home with God.
Bob and Sean have truly lost their dear, dear friend. Oh! the good times these guys had together over the yeaars hunting and fishing since meeting at MSU. Many adventures and stories have been shared by these four great men. May all of your wonderful memories carry you through the coming days.
