Shirley Ann Beech age 70 of Belding formerly of Saranac died suddenly Friday March 30 2007 at Ionia County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Greenville May 9, 1936 the daughter of Carl and Zelma Kelpien Oswald . Shirley graduated from Greenville High School with the class of 1955 and worked as a medical secretary for St. Mary’s Hospital for many years retiring in 1987. She married Gaylord S. Beech in Lansing on March 8, 1965. He survives along with their children,Gaylord L. Beech and Katherine Ann Beech of Greenville, grandson, Joseph Dennison,great grandchildren Sarah, Gage and Molly, her brother Wallace and Suzanne Oswald of Sheridan, Gaylord’s brothers, Emery Fred and Deborah Beech of Belding , Thomas Lee and Marian Beech of Greenville and Randy Scott Beech of Belding and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday April 4, 2007 at 1 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7-9 PM. Burial will be in East Montcalm Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Michigan.
