We were saddened to hear of Mary Lou's passing. She was always a ray of sunshine at Baldwin Heights. Her love of life, and especially of children, was evident each day. She was always willing to help whenever needed. She will be missed but we know she has a place with our Lord in heaven. We will keep your family in our prayers.

Dear Heaton family, Well, we've lost a good one. Mary Lou and I worked together at Turk Lake when I first began teaching, and she was so friendly and helpful to me as a new teacher. And what a great sense of humor! She kept us all laughing. My kids also remember her fondly from Baldwin Heights. She will be greatly missed, but her spirit and memory will live on in so many hearts. I am so sorry to hear about Mary Lou's passing. We sure had fun with her when we were kids! Our folks belonged to a supper club together, so the possibilities for mayhem were numerous. One summer night we,Ann, me, and Mary Lou were jumping on our beds upstairs, yelling and laughing hysterically. Boom, the beds broke! What a mess, but we just kept laughing. I remember that great laugh to this day. I treasure my memories of growing up in Greenville and having such nice friends who grew up to be fine adults. Mary Lou was one of those. Rest in peace and keep laughing in Heaven. We will miss you. God bless you and your family!
