1915 - 2007
Florence (Hallihan) Coady passed away April 22, 2007 at Metron of Greenville, with family present and comforting her. Mrs. Coady was born May 21, 1915 in Fairplain Township, to Rudolph and Ethel Newton. She attended Amsden School and graduated from Greenville High School in 1934. She was a cosmetologist, but joined the WW II effort at Federal-Mogul. When her children were grown, she was employed by and retired from Ore-Ida. She attended Cedar Springs United Methodist Church and belonged to the Cedar Springs Women’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Jerry Hallihan in 1967, John Coady in 1997, three brothers and a sister. She is survived by her sons; G. Jan and Judy Hallihan of Fenwick, Tim and Vanessa Hallihan of Crownsville Maryland, daughters, Sharon and Jack Robinson of Piqua, Ohio , Shirley and Maurice Duncan of Grand Rapids, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Betty and Roger Nelsen of Hastings , Theresa and Louis Klein of Plainwell,brother-in-law, Maurice and Virginia Coady of Portage and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 24, 2007 at 3 PM in Forest Home Cemetery Greenville. A visitation will take place beginning at 1 PM at Hurst Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to Cedar Springs Methodist Church
