Maurice L. HansenMaurice L. Hansen of Greenville passed away Saturday May 12,2007 at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus Greenville. He was born Stanton, on July 23, 1921 the youngest son of Julia and Walter Hansen. Maurice married Marjorie Burlison on March 22,1952 and they enjoyed 55 years together.

Maurice was employed at Federal-Mogul for 24 ½ years. He then schooled for and became an accomplished mechanic of outboard motors and all kinds of recreational vehicles. He and his wife owned and operated ‘ Hansen’s Sport Center’ for 45 years then sold out and moved to Greenville for retirement years. His hobbies were boating and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Raymond, sister Marvel Anderson

his daughter Sandra Jorgensen on Jan 19,2004 and his brother in law and sister in law

Ted Burlison and wife.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie, daughters Marilyn and Rick Hansen of Stanton and

Neesa and Timothy Raha of Grand Haven, grandchildren; John and Cathy Steele of Hudsonville, Chris and Kristi Steele of Six Lakes, Robert and April Steele of Saranac, Rick A. Hansen of Stanton, Derrick and Diane Hansen of Stanton, Adam and Katie Raha, Eric and Andrea Raha, Justin, Amy and Melissa Raha all of Grand Haven,many great grandchildren, his sister Isabelle Faizer of California, sister in law, Iris Fuller, son in law Tom Jorgensen of Stanton

and many nieces and nephews.

As requested, no viewing or visitation will be held, but Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday May 16 at 2 PM at Little Denmark Cemetery on Johnson Road North of Gowen with Rev. David Perry officiating. In honor as he would want, spend loving time with your families and friends. Personal gestures of support to Marjorie will be appreciated in the days and months to come. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health United Memorial for the new chapel, American Diabetes Association , American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at Hurst Funeral Home who is serving the family.
