Our love & prayers at this time of your sorrow. Harold & Florence were special people within our Conference. I am currently serving the Sonoma & Newton Parish where Harold served back in 1940. In these days know the love of God as Hed wraps His comforting arms around you and rejoice in the hope of the Resurrection through our Living Savior & Coming Lord, Jesus Christ. Blessing & Hope!

I grew up going to church at First United Methodist Church in Greenville, MI. Florence was a part of my church life as far back as I can remember. She will forever be apart of my life.

I saw your Mother's obituary in the Lansing State Journal today. I remember your parents, Margaret and Mary, as being vital parts of my youth spent in Ionia at the First United Methodist Church. Our MYF was an active group because of the support of your parents. I have asked about her and about you girls as we only learned three years ago about your brother Ralph's death. We were planning a 1964 class reunion and only then heard from his widow. I have fond memories of a spirited Margaret. I hope that life has been good to you and that you have some lasting memories of Ionia. Jane Hooper Smith

Margaret and Mary and family, You know how special your mother was to us and how she filled the role of grandmother to our boys. She was a wonderful example to all women of a godly, christian woman and mother, and as the Bible says in Proverbs 31, "...for her price is far above rubies." She truly was that to all of us. We will miss her but hold dear sweet memories of many Thanksgivings and Christmases spent together. Your parents meant so much to us. Your dad helped perform our wedding and loved us as his own. He was a great man of God and so much more. Heaven rejoices to have welcomed your mother home. Love and prayers

We were priviliged to know both Dr. Jayne and Florence as they ministered to our church. We were just newly married. They were here when our daughters were born, and he baptized them. We will always remember Florence's optimism and faith, and how she saved newspaper articles about our family for us.
