Larry A. Petersen age 59 of Wyoming formerly of Trufant died August 7, 2007 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital Grand Rapids. He was born in Greenville August 20, 1947 the son of Lee and Charlene Bailes Petersen. He was a 1965 graduate of Lakeview High School and was an auto mechanic employed by Enterprise in Grand Rapids. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and the INHRA.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Weber of Wyoming, his children; Jil and Brian Marcum of Kentwood, Bryan Petersen (Candy West) of Trufant , Kellie Petersen (Robert Dargie) of Wyoming, Katherine (Nick) Chenier of Jenison and Nicholas Weber of Grand Rapids, his grandchildren, Kaylee, Gabrial , Chandler and Mackenzie Petersen, Alyssa Christensen, his aunt Marilyn ( Calvin) Wittenbach of Greenville, cousins, Steve, Bruce and Linda, brother in law, Alex Dragovich of Navarre Ohio and sister in law, Pamela Dragovich of Jakarta Indonesia.
His father preceded him in death in 1986 and his mother in 1999.
Funeral services will be held Friday August 10, 2007 at 11 AM from Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Clayton Bates officiating. Burial will be in Trufant Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society
