Irene B. Post age 87 of Trufant and formerly of Lansing died Tuesday August 21, 2007 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital, Greenville. She was born in Lansing on Nov 2, 1919 the daughter of Clyde and Viola Lenon and retired from Fisher Body Lansing and also Ore-Ida Foods in Greenville.
She was married to Lansing Fireman George I. Post on July 23, 1962 in Lansing. He preceded her in death on April 16,2004. She was a member of the Trufant Fire Department Auxiliary.
Her grandson Tim Hildabridle and three sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Donna and Duane Mather of Olivet, Esther Mather of Lansing, Ronald and Alice Hildabridle of Morley and Edson Lawrence of Las Vegas NV.
20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren and her niece Thelma Swartz of Dewitt.
Funeral services will be on Friday August 24,2007 at 1 PM from Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Aaron I. Sorrels officiating. Burial will be in Trufant Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.The family wishes to thank Al and Maxine Nielsen and Brian and Bridgette Ludtke for their care. Memorial contributions may be given to the Trufant Fire Department or Boy Scouts of America.
