I was so saddened to read about Einer's death. I knew Einer for over 60 years, going way back to our years in 4-H Club. Please accept my sincere sympathy via this e-mail as I will be out of town on Sunday and unable to come to the visitation. Sincerely, Carol Sorensen

Sorry to hear of Einer's passing. As as we were neighbors back in childhood days, I remember the Thorland's well and worked for them in the early 60's and admired them well for their accomplishments both on the personal side and the commmunity. Einer will be sadly missed, I think of him often. Leonard J. Vandermey

Let me express my sorrow with the unexpected passing of Einer. I first got aquainted with Einer in the early 70's while I was at the 1st State Bank of Greenville. Despite Eioner being a Democrat and me a Republican; Einer a Michigan State graduate and me a huge U of M fan we still became good friends. I admired Einer's enthusiasm for following his childrens school activities (and later his grandsons) especially track, wrestling and football. He also loved his game of golf and almost always beat me, Harry(Hicks) and brother John. Incidently Einer, brother John, Harry & I were the first team to go to Myrtle Beach with many more trips to follow. I have always admired Einer's farming knowledge which speaks for itself, his success in farming. He was always very astute and aware of current affairs. Einer was a very honest hard working man who's word was his bond! I will miss you friend. Gary T. Sirrine

Jenny, I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I have had the great pleasure of doing business with Einer and the rest of the family over the years. It is easy to see the ethics that Einer has installed in all of his children. I remember years back Einer telling me, a city boy, "a little hard work will never hurt me". He will be sadly missed in the community. Stephen Hole.

What a great man! Growing up with the Thorlund boys Einer always treated me very well even when I didn't deserve it. His legacy is the great kids he leaves behind.
