Living in another part of the state, I just learned of Kittie's passing and want to pass along my sincere condolences. I last saw her at my own mother's (Joan Kipp) memorial service in Greenville 10 year ago. She was not only Mom's hairdresser for more than 25 years, but also among her most cherished friends. Mom lived with MS for three decades, and when she became increasingly challenged physically, Kittie went out of her way to make things as normal as possible for her during her weekly visits to The Style Shop. This meant more to Mom, and to us, than words can ever convey. She remained a friend to Mom and Dad over the years when others just sort of faded away. For that, I'll always be grateful. Kittie was a very special person and will always remain in my heart.

Dear Keith and family,
Kittie was my hairdresser and friend for many years before we moved from Greenville. She always was cheerful and kind. She was a blessing in my life. I hope good memories bring comfort to all of you.
Peace,

Dear Vance Family:
Especially Carla!
I'm so sorry you have lost your Mom. we knew she was really sick with Alseimers. My Mom really misses her, and was so sad when Kitty started slipping away. My Dad is in the same boat, and it is so hard seeing them go places.
Well its been a very long time school chum!! but our families are connected through our Moms and so I wanted to drop you a note.
Best-
Kathy

I have many memories of Kittie--the first person to give me a real "hairdo"; I remember her doing my hair for my first prom and my first wedding. She was a dear friend to the Jaehnig family and we all enjoyed the Vance children when my sister, Faith, babysat for them on Washington Street. Those of us who have been caregivers to family members with Alzheimer's disease know what a wonderful job Keith did...you are to be commended. God bless you all.

Carla and family: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember your mom as a fun person. She was the only person dad would let cut my hair besides himself.
