
Arden Duane Lake, 59 Carson City
Arden went to rest with the Lord in eternal peace on August 31, 2007 following a brave 8 month battle with lung cancer.
Arden was born Feb. 14, 1948 in Greenville the son of Clarence and Vivian (Fishell) Lake.
He attended Vickeryville Country School, Palo Community School and Ionia High School. He worked at Tower Automotive for 33 years. He retired in October 2006.
He married Jeanne Bauer on January 13, 1968. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 39 years, his children, grandchildren and anyone that knew and loved him.
Arden enjoyed golf, cards, camping, mushrooming, fishing and hunting with family and friends. He also enjoyed carpentry work and built many things for friends and family. He was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand, from the simplest to the most complicated task you could always count on Arden to be there. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and Tower Brothers. Member of the Fishcreek Sportsman Club of Hubbardston.
He is survived by his wife, 2 children-Kim(Ken) Moore of Greenville, Jim Lake of Carson City, 5 grandchildren-Erica Edlin of Belding, Morgan Lake of Greenville, Heather, Konner and Kaelynn Moore of Greenville; Mother in Law-Bonnie Kelly of Crystal; 2 sisters-Sheila(Don) Henion of Hastings, Sharon Lake of Greenville, Sister/Brother in Laws-Herb Whorley of Saranac, Kathy and Rodney Genson, Sherry and Jerry Hopkins, Connie and Steve Bollinger, Scott Kelly, Kirk and Sandy Kelly, Tammy and Tony Gallagher, Greg Kelly, all of Crystal, Linda and Russell Waite and Wade and Theresa Kelly of Sheridan, Jeff and Cindy Kelly of Stanton, Randy and Dawn Kelly of Cedar Springs. Aunt and Uncles; Margaret Fitzgerald of Palo, Pat and Margie Fishell of Fenwick, Frank and Ipha Fishell of Alaska and Texas, Ivadel Lake of Greenville, Marian Lake of Belding, Leona Hall of Lansing and Tressa Linder of Carson City. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by: His parents, Sister Darlene Eaves, Brother in Laws-Craig Kelly, Alan Bauer, Niece Tonda(Genson) Mills, and Nephew Jason Winters.
Celebration of Arden’s life will be September 8, 2007 at 1pm at the Sheridan VFW Hall.
