Nickys Family,
I was so sad to hear of Nicky's death. We go back over 30 years as so many of his friends do. And a loyal friend he was.
One of the things I remember about Nick was how he taught me poker. I'd have a weekly poker night for the boys and did we have fun! Nicky loved his fun and will be missed.
My deepest sympathy,
Moya

My heart felt condolences to your family. Nick was a great person and I enjoyed talking with him at the MHFLCC shows, we often had booths next to each other. We traded collectables and he was always a very fair trader. We will miss his contributions to the club. Best wishes, Scott & Family

I'v known Nick for as long as I can remember. This guy was a blast! I'll sorely miss him. The last time I saw him, was at one of those concerts at the river in front of the gazebo. I told him of how he sounded the guy from Sundance Cars... "Come on down to Sundance!" He repeated the message loudly and people turned their heads. It was sooo funny. ...only Nick. What a guy! I/we all miss you Buddy.

Chad worked with Nick at the road commision, and really enjoyed his jollyness,he always had a fishing or hunting story to share. He and Chad both enjoyed talking about how they enjoyed the Upper Penninsula. Nick always had a smile and laugh. As for me, Nick and I ran into each other at different bargain sales in the summer comparing with each other as to who got the best bargain and where the next sale was.:) He always made me laugh while I listened to the scanner in the winter months, the guys at the road commision would work long.... hours and Nick never lost his sense of humor no matter how many hours he was in the truck plowing snow. Nick will be missed! Thinking of you!

Jenny,
I know I speak for the entire membership of the MHFLCC that we are all better people for have known Nick but deeply saddened by his loss. He was truly a friend to me, a person of great integrity, a loyal member to the club and someone you always looked forward to spending time with. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help you in this time of loss. Regards, Greg Woodland & The Michigan Hunting & Fishing License Collectors Club

Though we are left feeling an empty space in our hearts, we are full of happy, touching memories and funny stories. We've been blessed to have such a wonderful, dear, and spirited man in our lives.
Rest in peace, finally without pain.

Go in peace my friend. You will be missed and thought of often. As Grandpa said in Minnesota "There is something not right with these cards".

I am so going to miss Nick's hearty laugh and hearing him on the Road Commission's two-way radio...especially during hunting season if he happened to see some deer along the roads he was working on. Such a sweet, nice man. Our hearts go out to Jennifer and Nick's family. We love you Nick!
