
Leatha E. “Betty” McClear age 84 of Greenville died Sunday morning October 7, 2007 at the home of her daughter in Greenville. She was born in Lansing on July 14, 1923 the daughter of John and Faydette Avery Wade and was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School. She was a member of the Sheridan VFW Auxiliary Post # 5065 and had retired from the former Gibson Refrigerator Co. working both in Belding and Greenville.
She is survived by her children; Linda and Henry Guikema of Greenville, Jan Richard and Colleen Hogle of Ionia, Laura and John Hodges of Trufant, Mark and Mary McClear of North Carolina, Patrick and Lisa McClear of Texas and Nancy McClear and her husband Benjamin Nathan of Hastings, 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, a special friend Clarence Lake of Greenville and her sister Mary Dembowski of Warrer Robins Georgia.
Her four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 1:30 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Kendall Harger officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
