Catharina J. “Cathy” Tate age 88 of Fenwick died at home Saturday November 24, 2007.

She was born in Voorschoten, Netherlands on November 12, 1919 the daughter of Jon and Bastiaantje Vanoverschot Bruggemans and came to the USA at age one with her parents. She married Robert E. Tate in Belding on January 25, 1957. Cathy worked for Federal- Mogul Corporation, Ore-Ida Foods, the Gowen General Store and retired after working at Sheridan Community Hospital. She is survived by her husband of almost 51 years, Bob of Fenwick, her sons John Frandsen of Gowen and Jeffrey and Nancy Tate of Fenwick and daughter Marsha Tate of Bellefontaine Ohio, grandchildren, Jeff Thurlow, Cory Tate, Rhonda Blume, Bobby Tate and Sandy and Andy Cook, great grandchildren, Tyler Blume, Bryant Jackson and Devin Cook. Her son Robert Tate preceded her in death on Feb15, 2000 and her brother Jon Brueggmans in 1974.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 27, 2007 at 1 PM at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jamey Nichols of First Congregational Church of Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of your choice. No public visitation will be held.

I SEND OUT MY THOUGHTS & PRAYERS FOR THE LOSS OF A VERY DEAR GREAT AUNT WHOM WAS MY MOST FAVORITE AUNT KATIE WAS THE VERY BEST WHENEVER GOING OUT TO SEE HER WHETHER IT BE W/MY MOM(PAMMY) OR MY DAD STEVE OR EVEN WHEN I GOT OLD ENOUGH TO DRIVE SHE WOULD BE AWAITING FOR USE WITH GOODIES THAT SHE MADE SHE WOULD ALWAYS LOVE YELLOW FLOWERS & PICTURES OF US OR EVEN WHEN I HAD MY OWN CHILDREN I WOULD ALWAYS HAVE TO KEEP HER UP TO DATE W/NEW PHOTOS & NOTES OF WHAT WAS GOING ON. WHEN GOING OUT TO SEE HER& GREAT UNCLE BOB SHE WOULD HAVE THE PHOTO'S THAT WERE SENT TO HER OUT ON DISPLAY FOR EVERYONE TO SEE GREAT AUNT KATIE WAS VERY PROUD OF THE FAMILY SHE HAD...SHE DID ALL SO VERY MUCH IN HER LIFE SHE'LL BE VERY MUCH SO MISSED & GREAT UNCLE BOB I LOVE YOU DEARLY SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR WIFE/BESTFRIEND & MY VERY BEST GREAT AUNT LOVE ALWAYS TAMI SHOOK/STEDMAN
