Leo L. Brown age 77 of Sheridan died Friday December 28, 2007 at his home. He was born in Belding MI on February 27, 1930 the son of Bernie A. and Florence Orlowski Brown. He served his country in the US Navy from 1948 to 1964 and was a member of the American Legion Ray I. Booth Post # 101 of Greenville. He was married in Ithaca on October 14, 1967 to Karen K. Shaw and was employed by the former Electrolux for 24 years retiring in l987.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Brown of Sheridan, his children, Sheila Gavitt of Lake MI, Richard Brown of Barryton, MI, and Lee Ann Davis of Indiana. His son Anthony Brown preceded him in death on May 8, 1970.Also surviving are his brother Delmar Brown of Belding, sisters Carmen and John Geisen of Belding and Jean Vandermel of Newark, California. His brother Melvin Brown preceded him in death. His wife’s family also survive; Jo Ann Tom of St. Johns, Nancy and Frank Martyn of Ithaca, Sharon and Doug Hyde of St. Johns, Bonnie Potner of Lansing, Vickie Thompson of Maryland, Lisa and Lonnie Andrews of Perrinton and Brian and Jenny Shaw of Ashley and nieces and nephews.
Funeral & committal services will be held on Monday December 31, 2007 at 11 AM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 7 PM.
